Brands, Businesses, and Marketers… meet Snapchat’s Public Profiles for Business!

Public Profiles for Businesses is Snapchat’s newly launched feature to give brands of all sizes a free, permanent home on the app to house all of your unique content and provide you access to features such as building a following, selling products, and managing your profile – all from one place.

What are its features?

Public profiles have four key features:

  • Public Stories

Want to give a peek at what your brand is up to?

Public Stories allows you to share the latest updates about your brand, from behind the scenes to product launches.

  • AR Lenses

Get your audience immersed through AR Lenses that can be discovered by all Snapchatters and give them a one-of-a-kind digital experience.

  • Saved Stories

Similar to Instagram highlights, businesses on Snapchat get to make a great impression and showcase their best Public Snaps, Stories, photos, or videos permanently.

  • Native Store

If you have a Shopify store, you can link your shop to your Profile so that Snapchatters can browse, try-on, and buy through the “Shop” feature, turning Snapchat into a new point of sale.

How does it benefit businesses?

If you’re still on edge about creating a Public Profile for your business, here are a couple of reasons why you should consider this feature:

  • Get discovered organically and build a following

Snapchatters can easily find your brand through Search, @ mentions, Discover, Lens Explorer, and through paid media with Snapchat Ads, making you more discoverable.

  • Engage with your customers and drive impact

Users get the option to subscribe to your Profile so they can stay up-to-date with any new content, product launches, and more through the Subscription carousel.

  • Easily manage and analyze your Profile with web-based tools

Through Snapchat’s web-based platform or within the app, businesses get to see analytics by post, including Story views, views from subscribers vs. non-subscribers, subscribers gained, and engagement.

You can also increase collaboration by sharing content between your brand and media teams.
